Description On the outside, the former head office of the Holland-Amerika Lijn has a cosmopolitan feel: its facade is symmetrical in design, with balconies, dormer windows, towers and decorations; the style to which most grand hotels built around 1880 adhered.
In addition, the building is magnificently situated, with views of the city's skyline, the harbour and the river - another precondition for a Grand Hotel.

Hotel New York has two towers, both of which are hotelrooms.
While 19th century hotels had carriages with a regular coachman, and later a limousine with chauffeur, this hotel offers the services of a watertaxi with skipper! This means you will be in the Veerhaven (old ferry harbour) directly opposite to the hotel in 5 minutes.
If you prefer to be ferried to the towncentre, you can get off at Leuvehaven.
